SURF
Finca la Revolution sits 5 minutes away from 3 Breaks!
Nicaragua has recently gained a name for its surfing hotspots. It is ideal for people who want to avoid crowded beaches. With an average of 300+ days per year of offshore winds attributed to the proximity of Lake Nicaragua, the surfing in Nicaragua remains optimal all day long, with the tides being your main deciding factor of when to paddle out.
NEARBY WAVE BREAKS!
Playa Yankee: It is approximately 10 minutes south of San Juan del Sur by auto. Waves can range from chest high to a little overhead.
Playa Hermosa: It is one of our favorite beaches. It is a 2 mile long white sand beach with a number of river mouths, sand bars and other sections to surf at. It is a great spot for intermediate – begginers (becuase there is so much open space to stay away from other surfers). There is a great place to eat and drink right on the beach, and if you want to stay the night, there is a very reasonably priced eco-lodge hostel right on the sand as well!
Playa Remanso: This is the closest break to San Juan del Sur just 5 minutes south of town. t is a beautiful white sand bay with a small bar on the beach and shaded areas open to everyone. This beach provides long gentle rollers, making it an easy paddle out and fun for all standards of surfing. Ideal for learners!
ACTIVITIES
If you’re looking for majestic sightseeing then La Flor beach is in your agenda. It is one of the few protected spots in the world for turtles to nest all year long. This activity pairs very well for an evening of relaxation after a day of intense adventure at Las Nubes Adventure Park.
